Aug 02, 2007
Scotland have named former England and Yorkshire player Gavin Hamilton in their 15-man squad for next month's Twenty20 World Cup to be held in South Africa.
According to cricket365.com, the Broxburn-born 32-year-old has featured infrequently for Scotland since the ICC World Cup early this year, with work commitments keeping him out of some matches.
In the meanwhile, Hamilton has confirmed his availability for the world tournament in South Africa.
In their warm-up games, Scotland face Bangladesh on September 8 and Zimbabwe on September 9, and then launch their campaign against Pakistan on September 12 before taking on India the following day.
Scotland also face India on August 16 in a one-day international.
Scotland squad: Ryan Watson (captain), John Blain, Dougie Brown, Navdeep Poonia, Gordon Drummond, Gavin Hamilton, Majid Haq, Ross Lyons, Qasim Sheikh, Neil McCallum, Gregor Maiden, Dewald Nel, Colin Smith, Fraser Watts, Craig Wright
